Mustafa Mohammad Bodybuilder

Mustafa Mohammad Tribute Page

Mustafa Mohammad Picture

Mustafa Mohammad was born in Amman, Jordan in 1966 and competed at a weight of 270 pounds. He certainly has built up a very impressive resume since he started competing professionally in 1986. He still says that his most important objective is his family but his passion is and always will be bodybuilding.

Mustafa had competed in 19 different IFBB pro events and he managed to finish in the top 10 thirteen times. He was a bodybuilder that kept getting better and better and made it the top 5 in professional competitions seven times.

Mustafa was known for his huge legs which when you see him on stage are similar to the awesome size that Tom Platz could show over 30 years ago. But his problem was always his shoulders which he finally brought up to par with his well-balanced body.

Mustafa Mohammad Workout

The workout listed below is what he used to get his deltoids in line with the rest of his body, which is something that all successful bodybuilders have to do.

Behind-the-neck military presses 4 sets of 12, 10, 8 and 6 reps

Seated dumbbell presses with 4 sets of 8 reps increasing the weight each rep

Dumbbell one-arm lateral raises 4 sets of 8 reps

NOTE: Mohammad rested two minutes between all sets.

Like most professional bodybuilders Mustafa trains on a double split routine where he trains morning and evening 6 days a week. Below is how he would split his workouts for three days and then take a one-day rest before starting it all again.

Day 1 Calves/Chest Biceps/Abs

Day 2 Hams/Shoulders Back/Rear delts

Day 3 Traps/Triceps Quads

Mustafa would stick to this split routine until he starts to feel like he might be reaching over-training and starts to feel tired. He would then train two days on and a one-day rest until he feels that he is getting his strength back. This is very important, as over-training could be the thing that slows muscle growth and always needs to be looked out for.
